Attorney Lance Jacot was born in Newport Beach and grew up in Huntington Beach, California .  After receiving his bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine in 1996, Mr. Jacot began law school at the University of California’s Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco . During law school Mr. Jacot interned at the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office and the Office of the State Public Defender.
